24x18 in ~ Painting, Oil
I did a quick sketch of someone playing a piano. My wife said it looked like Franz Liszt, the composer. I got a picture of him and did a portrait with a piano extending beyond the edges and a fog of the unknowing background. Intuitively, I saw this as resonating with the aging rock starts of our time. Liszt wrote compositions that were so complex that only he could play them. Even today, there are very few musicians who can master his work. He was very popular and especially liked by women. I believe this resonates with the likes of Mick Jagger and the Beatles.
My work often develops from and incorporates influences from music, poetry, other art, mental state, and the human condition.
The medium is oil on linen finished paper.
