The crane is balance and patience;
Poised in the currents of life;
Quiet, watchful, listening.
On unseen spiral paths,
It ascends the heavens to blissful,
all accepting emptiness beyond strife.
The unassuming tortoise drags its tail in the mud;
Buries itself in the mother of all creation.
Its slow rooted path leads to long life.
In harmony with the crane and tortoise,
Heaven and earth are united.
