Oil on linen finished oil paper. Immediate correspondence to subject and medium. Poem was written and painting was a reflection of poem:

Of all the great artifacts of war,
The most curious and fantastical
Was the violent violin of the vanquished.
It was the unfortunate development of A.I. that took a bad violin
To new levels of gratuitous torture.
The resulting violin was held in the most fearful regard even
By those unlucky virtuosos who unleashed its’ terrifying power
On their unfortunate victims.
The weapon proved so astoundingly effective
That is was banded from further use in warfare
On the highest moral certainty of humanitarian grounds.
The collateral damage was effectively total
As music is no longer taught in schools
And the resultant social disorder is complete
Having sunk to the lowest common denominator
Which is Zero.
It is said that the A.I. inspired music had the screech
Of an abandoned soul.
It had the nerve debilitating scratch of a clawed bone.
Combined with the endless reverberation of lost atonal meaninglessness
And the escalating unresolved tension
That tenses and contorts in the unrelenting
Art of senseless torture to leave one and all
On the everlasting brink of a death hopelessly dangled
As the only means of escape.
This violent violin having completed Armageddon
Is now available at Sotheby’s auction house
For the unbelievable starting price of five counterfeit dollars.
This exquisite violin can be yours to admire and ponder
As you are drawn irresistibly
Into the dark powers of possession,
The overwhelming desire for self-importance,
And the greatest of dark powers to destroy all opposition,
Which is strictly prohibited and we expect you to behave.
